Regardless of the level or circumstance of companionship, though, Shu is a selfless comrade, always willing to offer a helping hand, and he's a damn good battlefield medic should the need arise.

foes Shu, due to that knot of anxiety so fully coiled around his gut, has an intense urge to avoid confrontation at, quite literally, any cost. It's why he agreed to take up the family business; it's why he forces himself to do a job he takes no pleasure in; it's why he hires bodyguards instead of just learning how to defend himself. And because of this avoidance mentality, Shu's list of enemies is remarkably short. That said, you don't become as good at your job as Shu without making at least a few foes. From dissatisfied customers to familial rivals and anyone who has or cares for someone who has fallen under Dr. Morita's favored torturing devices, there are certainly plenty of people out there that would rather see the good doctor getting a taste of his own medicine.

flings Shu is, at his core, a soft soul. He's been hurt plenty of times in the past by people he was far too fond of, leading to a very nervous pessimism when it comes to romance. The intense lack of self-confidence and constant assumption of inadequacy doesn't help the situation. That all said, Shu is a romantic fool deep down inside, falling for dear friends far too easily and far too hard. He's a sucker for a charming smile, has intense heart palpitations at any inkling of flirtation, and wants, honestly, nothing more than to be swept off his feet... even if he's not exactly forthcoming in that regard.

He's a shoulder to cry on, a shield against bad vibes, and a reliable ally.

foes It's not so wild an idea that Hikaru has made a handful of enemies, especially since leaving the force and taking on that Robin Hood persona. Beyond just the thievery, though, that savior complex of his has a tendency to thrust the blonde into a plethora of unsavory situations. He won't hesitate to stand up for someone he thinks is being mistreated, even if he doesn't know the full situation, and he has a distinct disdain for narcissism. His time as a self-made man has certainly loosened his tongue as well, saying the wrong thing to the wrong person, leading to nasty words and maybe a few blows, is not unheard of. Beyond that, Hikaru has a trail of broken hearts behind him, former coworkers in the force that aren't his biggest fans, and a plethora of other bridges he's burned along the way to reach the success he currently has.

flings Hikaru is, without a doubt, a romantic fool. He has had numerous past relationships, though none that lasted longer than a few weeks. There’s no real pattern to what happens, but it almost always ends with Hikaru getting dumped. Sometimes it’s because he’s a bit overbearing, sometimes it’s because his job keeps him too busy. Most of the time, though, it has something to do with his romantic partners wanting to see a side of him that isn’t the overly bubbly blonde wannabe-hero.
